Shop and Establishment registration is a state-level registration for every business organization/entity to register under Government. Every entity established for the business purpose, including trading and service shops, firms, companies, restaurants, hotels, or cafes, and also the place of public amusement are mandatorily required to obtain this registration.

The primary motive of such registration is to comply with the State laws and secure the benefit for the employees. The license works as valid proof of commercial activities for other such registrations and is also useful for opening a bank account.

Inspection of Documents & Business Premises

Department of Labour may examine your application and other documents, and if it thinks of inspection of your business premises, required to verify the particulars you fill up and documents attached, an Inspector is appointed to carry out inspection.
In most of the cases does not require any inspection.

Documents required for Reg. Under Shop & Establishment:
PAN: A self-attested copy of PAN card Of Proprietor/Partner/ Director as the case may be.
Address Proof: Self- attested copy of address proof of Proprietor/Partner/Director as the case may be.
Proof of Establishment: Rent agreement/ Ownership Deed/ Lease Deed and NOC from the owner if rented property.
Registration / Incorporation Documents: Partnership Deed/ LLP Agreement, MoA – AoA of Company, etc. along with registration certificate, if any, recent photograph of the establishment.
